Assembly is not an optional extra at The Sofa Shop. Every sofa we sell is fully assembled, tested and
demonstrated in your home by our own two-man specialist team, complimentary alongside your £99 delivery fee. There is no assembly add-on to buy, no assembly charge on top, and nothing to build yourself — ever.

Our sofas are among the most advanced in the world — smart, tech-loaded designs with up to 50 features and functions, and individual sections weighing up to 170kg. Recliner mechanisms, motors, smart modules and wiring all need to be connected, aligned and set up correctly. This is not flat-pack furniture: correct installation by people who know these products inside out is what protects the longevity of a high-value sofa. including upstairs, at no extra charge.

• Complimentary function testing — Every recliner, motor and smart function is tested in front of you before the team leaves.
• Complimentary demonstration — The team walks you through how everything works, so you get
the most out of every feature from day one.
• Quality documented — Once assembled and tested, the team records a short video of the finished product in your room, documenting the condition and quality of what we delivered.
• Complimentary packaging removal — All packaging is removed from your home and recycled. No mess, nothing to dispose of.
Fits-Through-Your-Door Guarantee
If your sofa genuinely cannot fit through your access route on delivery, we take it away and refund your
delivery fee — no cost, no quibble. You will never be left with a sofa stuck in a hallway or boxes in your living room.
If Anything Is Not Right Our team inspects for defects as they assemble. If any defect or missing item is discovered once assembly is complete, we prioritise resolving it immediately — repairing, sending a replacement or, if necessary, offering a full refund.
How Long It Takes
Assembly time depends on the size and complexity of your sofa, but our team is efficient and will not
leave until everything is built, tested and working exactly as it should. For larger corner or modular sofas with more functions, allow a little longer — the team will keep you informed throughout.
