The Sofa Shop began during the stillness of the COVID lockdown—a time when homes became offices, cinemas, and safe spaces. Comfort mattered more than ever.

At the time, the founder was Chairman of a top 1% UK law firm. While the legal world stayed steady, close friends and family faced job losses, income cuts, and daily stress.

With life shifting indoors, the idea was simple: build quality sofas designed for real, everyday use—made to support long hours of work, rest, and play without compromising on comfort or style.

The Sofa Shop started in lockdown, when people close to me were out of work and struggling. I wanted to build something that helped—creating jobs, supporting the local economy, and delivering real value.
